Founded in 1960, ASSOCOMAPLAST, a non-profit Association, now represents 160 important companies, Italian plastics and rubber machinery, ancillary equipment and moulds manufacturers. The directory of all Member companies, subdivided as per name and production, is available in the area "Members' List".
The main aim of ASSOCOMAPLAST is to promote worldwide the knowledge of the Italian plastics and rubber processing technologies that are at the top of the world market, in terms of production and export outputs.
Through its commercial company PROMAPLAST srl, ASSOCOMAPLAST publishes the bimonthly technical magazine MACPLAS and MACPLAS INTERNATIONAL (www.macplas.it) which, with a total circulation of 31,000 copies, ensures the world market coverage.
Moreover, PROMAPLAST srl organizes every three years the international exhibition PLAST in Milan, second largest show in Europe, which has reached the fifteenth edition. From March 24 to 28, 2009 PLAST has recorded 55,175 visitors from 114 countries and 1,478 exhibitors from 45 countries (www.plast09.org). Next event is scheduled from May 8 to 12, 2012.
ASSOCOMAPLAST, through CESAP (Centre for the Development of Plastics Applications), organizes technical training activities, supports researches and new applications of processing technologies and new materials etc..
Finally ASSOCOMAPLAST, on behalf of UNI (Italian Institute for Standardization), runs the Technical Committee "CEN/TC 145", which draws up European safety standards for plastics and rubber machinery.
ASSOCOMAPLAST is Member of CONFINDUSTRIA (Confederation of Italian Industry) and EUROMAP (Europe's Association for Plastics and Rubber Machinery Manufacturers - www.euromap.org).
