The Technical Committee TC 145, within the European Committee for Standardization (CEN), deals with the standardization of safety requirements for plastics and rubber machines. We list here below the Working Groups that belong to TC 145 with the updating of their activity.

				WG 6 = EN 12012-4:2006+A1:2008  [Size reduction machines - Part 4: Agglomerators]
				The standard EN 12012-4:2006+A1:2008 was published in the OJEU n. C 214 on 8.9.2009.

				WG 7 = EN 12013:2000+A1:2008  [Internal mixers]
				The standard EN 12013:2000+A1:2008 was published in the OJEU n. C 214 on 8.9.2009. According to Resolution 1/2010 the standard will be revised in 2011.

				WG 8 = EN 12301:2000+A1:2008  [Calenders]
				The standard EN 12301:2000+A1:2008 was published in the OJEU n. C 214 on 8.9.2009. According to Resolution 1/2010 the standard will be revised in 2011.

				WG 9 = EN 1612-1:1997+A1:2008  [Reaction moulding machines - Part 1: Metering and mixing units]
				The standard EN 1612-1:1997+A1:2008 was published in the OJEU n. C 214 on 8.9.2009. According to Resolution 3/2009 the standard was confirmed for five further years.

				WG 9 = EN 1612-2:2000 Cancellata/Withdrawn   [Reaction moulding machines - Part 2: Reaction moulding plant]
				The standard EN 1612-2:2000+A1:2008 was withdrawn on 13.3.2009, according to BT Resolution C11/2009, as some safety requirements are in contradiction with EN 14886:2008, which is in accordance with the present state of the art concerning this type of machinery.

				WG 10 = EN 12409:2008   [Thermoforming machines]
				The standard EN 12409:2008 was published in the OJEU n. C 214 on 8.9.2009. TC 145 decided through an enquiry per correspondence, which expired on 25.3.2010, to amend the standard. The proposal of Amendment has been sent to CEN for UAP in July 2010.

				WG 12 = EN 13418:2004+A1:2008  [Winding machines for film or sheet]
				The standard EN 13418:2004+A1:2008 was published in the OJEU n. C 214 on 8.9.2009. TC 145 decided in its plenary meeting on December 18, 2008 to revise the standard. On June 12, 2009 Peter Radford from BSI was appointed as WG 12 Convenor. The third WG 12 meeting took place in Hamburg on 22-23.6.2010. The WG is preparing the text for first enquiry.

				WG 14 = EN 15067:2007   [Film converting machines for bags and sacks]
				The standard EN 15067:2007 was published in the OJEU n. C 214 on 8.9.2009.

				WG 15 = EN 14886:2008   [Band-knife cutting machines for block foams]
				The standard EN 14886:2008 was published in the OJEU n. C 214 on 8.9.2009.

				WG 17 =   [Tyre curing presses]
				TC 145 decided in its plenary meeting on December 17, 2009 to activate a new WG to study the safety requirements of tyre curing presses. On March 29, 2010 Alain Tilleyre from MICHELIN was appointed as WG 17 Convenor. The second WG meeting is planned on 29.10.2010 in Paris.
